The party has arrived at the structure, which was indeed a fort as Samad predicted. Piles of sand creep up to its ashen stone walls, which are still quite imposing despite being only about two stories tall. Three towers used to reinforce its corners, but only one still has its roof. A short cliff rings the fort's northern and eastern edges, and the remnants of an outer wall shield it from the west. You loop around to the south to find the main entrance, a tall empty archway whose doors likely crumbled to dust ages ago. A faint pathway stretches out from the doorway going farther south.
