Tomoe finds out the video recording was still going underneath the Status app. She stops and submits the video, and gets a push notification for reaching 1% of the quota.
The Status app has very little in the way of lore or background explanation, but there is sufficient documentation on what mechanical advantages she has gained.
Cory makes a gash on his hand, somewhat larger than Tomoe's since he's using an axe. He too is locked in place and then infused with orbs of blue light.
Cory also finds a new Status app on his phone, and feels like his body has been altered. Once again, the statue crumbles into pieces afterwards.
