Okay, I finally saw it, the theater was still packed despite this being the 3rd week of release.
I see what you mean now, Captain Marvel was actually seen sporting that haircut much earlier in the movie via hologram. It's not *that* butch IMO.
Alright, time for more spoileriffic commentary. I'll start with the stuff I found merely interesting, not in a particularly good or bad way:

• How the Avengers just built their own gauntlet to contain the Infinity Stones, I thought there were some special requirements involved since Thanos had those "dwarves" make his using the Star-Forge on Nidavellir. I guess Stark's nanotech was good enough.
  
• By extension, the fact that they were able to hold the Stones barehanded without any side effects. I distinctly recall them saying in Guardians of the Galaxy that holding even one is too much for normal people. Maybe that just applies to the Power Stone?
  
• Handedness: Thanos wore the Infinity Gauntlet and snapped with his left hand, while Hulk and Iron Man used their right. Perhaps a little subtle stigma against lefties. Personally I'm a lot better at snapping with my left hand.
