SpoilerStuff I loved:
Annoying stuff:
- Professor Hulk - although I do think they should have showed the process of how he finally reconciled the two personalities
- Seeing "candid camera" footage of scenes from Avengers 1 from a different angle
- Pepper's suit, [RESCUE] - now I want to see more Pepperony tag team fighting, but sadly that possibility has been ruled out.
- Armored Thanos - Always thought he looked better with the armor on.
- Cap wielding Mjolnir
- Crossbones and Jasper Sitwell - the Russo bros still remember their roots. HEY CAP, ON YOUR LEFT
Annoying stuff:
- Nebula????? So many questions. Does she have her own private galactic wifi network, that automatically transmits things to all other Nebulas in range? They really should have explained that concept better as it was the whole reason behind the final battle with Thanos.
- Then there's the part where 2014 Nebula is supposedly killed, that should affect present Nebula too. Either she's not actually dead or it's some doomed timeline BS. Same thing with Thanos himself.
- They didn't explore the Soul Stone business, with the world "inside" it.
- The Captain Marvel shaft - was looking forward to seeing her go through a humbling experience like all the other hotheads, some kind of failure to bring her down to earth, or at least an "alpha" clash with someone. That would have made her more likeable. I don't think I'm alone in that respect.
- Bringing back 2014 Gamora - To clarify, I don't think that this is in any way a cop-out resurrection that cheapens or makes light of her death in Infinity War. Killing Superman in Dawn of Justice only to bring him right back in Justice League was cheap. But this, not so much, because it's not "our" Gamora, the one who met Quill and joined the Guardians. That Gamora is gone forever. I do think it sucks though, since from a narrative perspective this is basically undoing 2-3 movies' worth of development.
- No Luis. They could totally have had a scene where he rapid-fire explains the events of the past five years to Ant-Man after emerging from the Quantum Realm. They did have Korg though so it's not a total missed opportunity.
