Finch makes certain the limp beast is dead with a clean thrust through its flesh. His target writhes weakly from the unceasing torrent of punishment. Finch spots faint fumes rising the multitude of bleeding wounds on the animal. The rising beast flails in rejection of the intruding steel loses a chunk of its flesh when it twists free of the weapon. It catches Judy on the left arm with a blind swipe that leaves behind a bloody gash. Judy retreats away from her attacker to behind the formation of Finch and Andrea while Vala begins slowly dragging her fallen comrade away from the battle.
