As engineer, if you have hardlight barrier, and reserve hardlight barrier, you can do a trick to place them closer to each other than normally would be allowed. (Hardlight barriers usually have an exclusion radius of like 1 barrier long).

Place the reserve first, then the primary hardlight. That's all there is to it.

This is called the 5-4 trick, since the Reserve will be in slot 5 while the normal will be on 4.
