Andrea wakes up gasping for breath and flailing for the sword piercing her midsection. She feels the soft texture of bandages rather than the cold edge of steel. She looks about and sees she is in an ancient mass holding cell with a refurbished set of steel bars to keep in prisoners. A few creature comforts have been supplied. A candle, a padded cloth mat and a loaf of bread. Andrea checks for restraints and discovers two shackles binding her front legs. The main chamber beyond the bars is built around three thick stone pillars and dimly lit by two iron braziers.
