The captain waves his lantern over the barrel (not a torch) and lifts the lid to reveal a thick silver green slime filling the container nearly to the brim. He gently waves the lantern over the barrel to observe how the light illuminates the ominous contents. In his observation he notes something large and solid rests in the slime within.

Judy tries to wield her tools. While the implements themselves might be usable the sorceress herself realizes she lacks the physical ability to perform the task.
