You decide not to trouble your family members with this additional matter. After a while the nurse returns to usher them out, so more surgery can be performed. In preparation for this you are injected with a heavy dosage of sedatives, and your consciousness fades to black.

You wake up to find that you’ve slept the night away, and it is now the next day.
The nurse tells you that the surgery was a success and they can now release you to go home, but it will take 6 to 12 weeks to fully recover from your injuries. They strongly recommend you spend the next few days resting in bed, preferably longer, avoiding any strenuous physical activity and not putting any weight on your leg until the bone has mended.
Of course this is merely the hospital’s recommendation, they can’t force you to stay in bed. You try to get up, and immediately a wave of pain shoots through your body. Yeowch!
You might need to get a little creative if you’re going to carry out this favor all by yourself.
