While the trio of beasts chow down on Robillard the beast strangely standing still in the back of the cellar finally lurches into an explosive motion. Leaping at its brethren, the beast tears the creature pinning Rob off with its charge causing both to tumble over him. While Thistle feels herself bite into the offending creature her attempt to pin is met with resistance. With both beasts regaining their footing the two stare at each other Thistles opponent flashes a blur of signals which are instinctively interpreted as confusion.
Meanwhile, the second creature above the cellar lashes out at Nibbs who is protecting Thistles comatose body with his life. With a bite as fast as a viper a vicious blow is dealt and the creature then immediately adopts a defensive posture with the clear intent of dodging any incoming blows.
