Some ideas off the top of my head:

Minecraft or Minecraft alternatives (https://opensource.com/alternatives/minecraft)

- We had a pretty good Minecraft run on Dave's servers in the past; it's a tried and true sandbox crafting game with a one-time payment of $20.00 $26.95 (price creep)

- It's received quite a few updates since we last played as a group, so I'm not sure if the system requirements have changed


League of Legends has been ol' reliable for almost a decade now

- Main flaw is the time commitment and strict player-count requirements

- Otherwise, it's free (aside from aesthetics) and runs OK on most computers
