( view the previous thread on the old forums) The rat beast continues to run towards Nikolai.It doesn't look like he'll be able to loop around the beast without the beast catching him.Jose takes his dagger and begins running after the beast to try to dislodge the spear.Jose finds that he's running at about the same speed as the rat now that it's been slowed by its impairment.

Nikolai runs away from the beast and tries to relocate his arm, hopefully receiving help from a comrade in doing so.

Nikkolai runs in an arbitrary direction from the beast while trying to pop his arm back in place.
However, he finds the he's unable to do so as he is unable to lift the affected arm at all and his functioning arm is on the other side of his body (and not able to fix the issue).
His comrades look at him worriedly.
It seems they cannot help him unless they all stop for a moment in order to solve the issue.

The comrades shake their heads, quickly glancing at you and the beast with a nervous expression on their faces.
While you are stopped for a moment, the beast starts closing the distance between you.

As the imaginary voice in his head has informed Nikolai that he cannot make it to the cave's entrance in time to escape, he tries to draw the beast farther back into the cave.
He also looks to pick up the torch (if it's still around) and go for another geyser boom.

Nikolai sees that one of his comrades is carrying the torch and beckons for him to pass it his way.
The comrade looks somewhat nervously at Nikolai's free hanging arm.
"I know what you're trying to do. Just lure that thing to the geyser and I'll handle the ignition."
The closest geyser to Nikkolai is one to his 5 o'clock direction about 10 feet away.
The second closest is one to his 10 o'clock about 25 feet away.
The third closest is actually far enough away that Nikolai isn't able to actually see it, however judging by the sound it seems to be around 50 feet away directly in front of him.
Meanwhile Jose continues to run after the beast, neither gaining nor losing ground on it.

Making an extremely sharp turn, practically turning back the way he came, Nikolai lures the beast towards the closest geyser.
Unfortunately this allowed for the beast to catch up quite a bit.
Waiting until the beast is right on top of the geyser, the cloaked comrade tosses the torch into the geyser, causing a thundering blast to erupt under the beast.
Unfortunately, Nikolai wasn't quite so far away from the beast and is blown away by the force of the explosion, causing him to fly back a few feet and land on his back.
Luckily he didn't sustain any injuries, but there is ringing in his ears and it's going to take a little while to get up.
Meanwhile, Jose catches up to the beast and dislodges the weapon stuck in it's flesh, causing blood to flow forth at a fair rate from the open wound.

Nikolai lets out a guttural victory roar, which is cut short by the throbbing pain from his dislocated shoulder. "Please, friends, I require treatment for my shoulder."

two of the cloaked figures approach Nikolai.
In a very methodical and practiced routine, one of the figures holds Nikkolai's torso while the other grabs his affected arm and stretches it outward, snapping it back into it's original place.
After writing for a moment, the beast gets back on its feet with Jose still standing right beside it.
A slight distance away from Nikolai, one of the cloaked comrades can be seen holding his hands out in disbelief and shaking his head.
"We could've left your arm until later and looped around this monster back to the exit just now..."

Nikolai is distraught.
"My eyes deceived me! The beast is still alive! Quick, let us try to loop around it now; since it is injured, it may be slower!"
Nikolai tries to escape towards the cave's entrance.

Your comrades stare in disbelief as you run (almost) directly towards the beast.
The earlier comrade who questioned you runs the long way around the beast, believing your efforts to be a good distraction he can use to escape.

Welp, idk how to use the diceroller.
soz for the delay btw.
I just rolled irl and went with it.
The beast kicks Jose with its injured hind leg, sending him right into the carvern wall on the opposite side; then it lunges at Nikkolai, pinning him to the ground.
2 of the cloaked comrades use this distraction as a chance to get out while the remaining comrade stands and watches shocked.

Nikkolai is able to move his arms, but it is impossible for him to grab any items from his bag.
The cave is pretty empty and dark, lit by the torch your group picked up earlier. It lies just 10 feet away from Nikkolai.
Slumped on the wall, still alive and breathing, is Jose. Just sitting there, doing nothing.
Your cloaked comrades have abandoned you.

Nikolai tries wriggling out of his clothing to escape the beast, and if necessary, pricking the beast in a sensitive part (paw? nose?) to get it to loosen its grip a bit so he can escape.

Wriggling in his clothing doesn't seem to do anything to help Nikkolai escape from the massive beast's grasp.
Pricking at the beast doesn't seem to do anything against it's metal-like skin.
Feeling your wriggling and squirming, the beast sniffs at you curiously.
