Alright guys, ever since the untimely hiatus of the Bullshit, there as been a void at the forums. A VOID OF A LONG RUNNING RPG.
Thus, as per my own will, and with Lord Kelvin's blessings, I will take it upon myself to host the next forum RPG(once again).
Details coming below.
Setting: On this continent of Ey, one god is real, and their name is (dovahkin, dragonborn!) Ru.
Ru is the god of fortune, and manifests as a reality warping force that enforces games of all kinds(mainly chance), even those where the other player is nature.
All sentient beings have the power to evoke Ru once a day by declaring a bet, and will have the contents of their bet realized through the power of the divine, and as a result, the hallmark of sentience is the power of gambling. Some say that there are particular methods to gain more gambles a day, but most dismiss it as a mere rumor...
You play as the members of a notorious but honorable highwaymen gang, who generally prey on the rich.
Your gang is based in the southern mountains of the Luw Celestial Empire, but as a band of outlaws your background can come from all walks of life, and even foreign countries, united by only the desire to make a living.
Game system: As a land blessed by the god of fortune, most physical actions will be decided with dice roll, the threshold of success being heuristically decided based on a player's character traits checked against the difficulty of the task at hand.
As detailed in the setting, every player has the opportunity every day to perform a gamble, whether it is against another sentient entity, or against nature itself, the contents of which can be logically impossible to physically achieve.
Such as one can inadvertently bet 20 Rues(the in game currency) that it will rain tomorrow, and Ru will then offer you the terms of your bet in a divine revelation, which you can accept or decline. If you accept and succeed, it will actually rain tomorrow, and if you lose, your 20 Rues will evaporate into thin air(perhaps joining their friends in Ru's coffers in the event that some schmuck tries to bet Ru for money, the empire's coin mint has many friendly things to say to those who directly bet money, however). If someone else then bets something conflicting, then that person will be pitted against the owner of the original result, and not Ru.
If one declines Ru's terms, then the player will lose their chance to gamble again that day (since Ru's offers are always considered completely fair, and by not accepting you are essentially committing blasphemy).
