Damn, I was hoping there was another way, can take too long.
Also little side rant, I wish miHoYo would release their merch stateside. I had to import a titan model kit from china and it cost nearly 80 bucks. I'd love to get an ost or artbook for their games but for some reason, unlike other companies like yostar, they don't make an official merch store for everywhere else besides china. Hopefully that's changing now that they have opened offices in canada.

Well they do give out XP cards for pretty much anything: Quests, special events, talking to certain NPCs, plus you can just buy them once you unlock the Serenitea pot but you're probably a long way off from that (it's unlocked after finishing the Liyue main quest) Make sure you do the daily check-in too: https://webstatic-sea.mihoyo.com/ys/event/signin-sea/index.html?act_id=e202102251931481

Yes, especially since I got her to 40 and her spear is at 20. On the plus side, it has caused me to level some of my other characters and got my team atm of Noelle as DPS tank, Klee as DPS, Zhongli as support, & Barbara for healing. Though I did get Kokomi in the banner, so may replace Barbara in the future with her. Haven't used her yet since I can't raise her any higher than 40. As to why I rolled for her, I like her design. I probably won't roll much and only save my gems for characters from Honkai that they transplant into Genshin like they did with Baal.
Edit: Also it appears people are harassing Kokomi's chinese voice actress to the point she has to limit her streaming activities. God I hate fandom at times.

Figured I'd ask, anyone else having problems with getting disconnected from the server? Been playing catchup topday and I've been getting DC'd alot and have to redo cutscenes and battles.

Figure'd I'd ask, anyone figure out how to beat the 'fang of watatsumi' quest? having to protect that leyline node to be annoying to have to deal with all those enemies at once.

If your team isn't fully built, you'll need to charge up the Thunder Dwellings (those rock thingies) by standing near them with electrograna. At full charge they'll send out a shockwave dealing a ton of damage (75k at WL8) which will probably wipe an entire wave.

I figured that part out, I get to the wave where the treasure hoarders show up but the node gets killed by then. I'll probably have to level up my characters some more, just really wanted to be able to get pearls to level up kokomi.

I find that with these types of quests you can usually draw aggro from the melee guys and walk away from the monolith so they can't hurt it while they're attacking you. Once you've done that you should focus on the ranged potioneers and such who will be hitting the node anyway.
Oh, those pearls you're getting are special items specifically for the quest. You can find the type of pearls needed for ascension just lying around Watatsumi Island, no quest needed.

Really? A guide I looked up said I had to do those four shrine quests first. Also something ild like to say: I really like the look of Inazuma, each island is fairly unique and looks gorgeous. Yeah I don't think that quest has anything to do with Kokomi ascension items. The thing you're looking for is Sango Pearls. Just look around the large "pit" in the middle of Watatsumi, they'll be in little clamshells that you can just pick up like every other ascension item.

Huh, someone should change that guide then. Also, don't know why people are hating on Kokomi, she's fantastic and rips through enemies, while providing fantastic healing.

Her crit rate is -100% making it virtually impossible for her to crit unless you have some crazy build, in a meta heavily centered on critical strikes as they're considered to be the best damage multiplier. This means she will never be able to do as much damage as most other 5 stars, leading some people to believe that Mihoyo designed her to be dead on arrival.

That's a dumb reason to hate a character so much you threaten the VA. She's a support character who trades off the higher damage a 5* would have for insane healing, while still being able to put out decent damage.

Something I don't really get, how can there even be a meta for this game? It's all mostly single player, I understand there's characters better than others, and optimal builds, but other than that there's not really much besides hitting enemies harder.

The last four floors of Spiral Abyss (9-12) are changed up every 15 days to have different enemies and stage buffs/debuffs. They are quite difficult and require a heavily invested and optimized team to clear within the time limits to get full rewards, which can be up to 600 primogems per period plus mora, weapon crystals, and artifacts.
There are a few characters like Zhongli who will always do well in Abyss but the bimonthly change-ups can make other characters more or less viable.
Abyss is basically the endgame, but sometimes there are super high difficulty limited time events.
