SilkScarfHighwaymen RPG Opening Act: My Way or the Highway (part 2)
Brue sits down (?) on a chair/bench (?) next to the old woman and prepares for her instruction. "Yes ma'am. Learn me a good one please."
Reply
Ruru stares blankly as the applicant rants on about working hard and slowly holds out her hand.
"Yeah, whatever. I've heard it all before. Just give me your sheet and quill. What makes you special? What would you bring to the table in one of our regular... business meetings?"
Reply
She shrugs. "Ye can join if ye want Mah Lord, but we're nae headin' tae Hill, waur gonnae back haem tae Luw."

"Alright sonny, we gonna play high roller, whoever rolls the highest wins," says the old lady, "and to make it more exciting, how bout we make a wager of 20 Roos?"

(riders)

"That's fine, we can travel this length of the road, and then however long of a way we might happen to share," says Sir Di(...), "these roads are awfully dangerous sometimes, the less traveled ones are sometimes home to bandits."

(ruru)

"I, uh, oh!" says the shady man, "I used to be the lighting technician of a theater crew. I can also act, even though I never officially got a chance to."
Reply
"Really?" Ronaldo says in disbelief. "How did such esteemed nobility like yerself come to be travelin' alone then?"
Reply
"I'm coming home from a spiritual journey in the mountains," says Sir Di(...), "the best way to communicate with the divines is when there is nobody else around. Unfortunately I stayed a bit too long in the mountains and got lost."

Pepe looks into his pouch and attempts to pay 2 rues.
Reply
Brue scrunches his nose. "Sorry, lady, but are you really trying to make a beginner roller put up money against a veteran? Are you trying to teach me or fleece me?"
Reply
Ruru angles her thumb perpendicular to her index finger and pushes the corner up to her chin.
"hmmm, interesting. That's a pretty nice skill to have... I've just got one test for you. come with me."

If the applicant follows, Ruru leads him to the banana split place and orders one MANLY banana split for the would be handsome host.
Reply
"Ah ken we ran intae some bandits earlier. Boorichie ay cowards thocht, ran aff coz we talked tae them."

"Sonny, most people have to pay a fee to learn, you actually have a chance to win money instead, isn't that enough?" says the old woman.

(ruru)

Ruru leads the mysterious man into the tavern to order a banana split. It takes a moment for him to realize what is transpiring.

"Uh, wait a minute...!" says the man after getting the plate of banana stack don his head, but before he can dodge, he gets the axe.

You smell a tarty stench and notice a dark splot on the man's pants.

(ridas)

You are joined by the good sir with the long name, and ride to return to the main road.

Along the way he says:

"Say, if you wish, you can tell me where you wish to go and I can point you in the right direction in return for your help with the map."

(pepe)

Pepe shells out two Rues for the 'finest tendies' and is lead to a room with too much perfume. After a brief wait, a young girl(?) with a heavily powered face approximately 15 years of age enters the room dressed in sundress, perhaps a garb that can considered to be inappropriate for such a venue?

"He-hello, I'm Pearl. How may I serve you today?" asks the girl(?), her voice sounds suspiciously scratchy.

Ruru scribbles on the man's resume randomly, folds it up neatly, and puts it away.
"Ok, ok. Thank you for applying with us mister. Midnight tonight. Be at the alleyway where we met."

Ruru begins heading back to HQ while the man is still dazed from his banana split experience.
Reply
Brue observes his surroundings. Where in the world is he and who is around?
Reply
Feed me your finest tendies!
Reply
"Waur jist gonnae heed tae th' main road efter 'at it's a straecht path back haem.'
Reply
"If you could give us directions to the capital o' Hill too, that'd be swell."
Reply
(riders)

Sir Di- points in the direction that you are heading in right now.

"We are almost at the main road, if you wish to go to the capital, then just take a right when we get to the main road just head right and keep following the widest road. You should be there in a days journey by horse if you don't get lost."

You soon arrive at the spit of the road that you previously make a mistake at. Do you continue on right, or head left and go back to Luw?

(pepe)

The girl(?) blushes, "I- I see you're in a hurry to get to the main event, sir."

She(?) lifts up her(?) skirt to reveal the fine tendie underneath.

???!??!?!

"I-I'll take the lead if you wish," says the boy(?).

!@!@#$!@!@&

Unspeakable things happen, and you wake up the next morning feeling a little... changed.

(ruru)

You leave town knowing satisfied that you've made a direct contribution to the Host once again.

Walking along the mountain paths with your bag of peaches at hand, you get a nagging feeling that you are forgetting someone, or something, but since you can't remember, whatever you're forgetting can't be important, right?

(brue)

You're sitting around on a public bench in the shadier part of town. There is an old woman in front of you and some presumably unlicensed shops nearby.
Reply
Brue goes to a less shady part of town to look for a dice-rolling tutor.
Reply
When she reaches the base, Ruru goes straight for Harry to discuss the mediocre candidate.
Reply
Raw tendies taste not good. Pepe tries to navigate back to base.
Reply
"Weel ye tois wanna continue ur dae ye wanna heed back?"
Reply
"I reckon we got time to spare, let's continue."
Reply
She simply nods and heads down the road.
