XenoeBig City RPG: Yup, Here We Go Again!
"I suggest we head over to the communal home of Mimi Mimosha, we we should be able to interview all of the residents there about her disappearance."

Patrick gives Fu a thumbs up and follows her lead.

Kobe-Juan nods approvingly as he looks over the scrolls. "Ah, now this was a man who had the propensity to engage in combat," he says, "A Battle Tendency, so to speak."

He checks the travel guides or almanacs to see if Jonis made any marks or looked at any locations in particular. Sana-kin is on hidden compartment/passage search duties. It's certainly a lot more plausible that such a large and fancy abode would have one.

Fu heads over to the home of Mimi Mimosha and asks to look around the room speak with the residents.

(It would be too long to role play each one individually so just wanna do a perception check to search the room ask each these questions:
Has there been anything wrong in her personal life, or has she mentioned anything to you?
Has she been acting strangely lately or coming back to the house late?
What happened on the night of her disappearance? Have you seen her since, or thought you saw her in places she usually goes?)

There are no obvious marks on any of the books, it seems that Jonis was careful to cover his tracks if he was indeed using them for some purpose.

There is, however, a tea stain on the travel guide detailing Mansiil, and Kobe-Juan carefully peruses the pages which he thinks the stain could have originated from. They seem to be detailing a religious festival that is hosted every three years on the 8th of Algeree, dedicated to a local diety, in the town of Brohui, a small town on the edge of the Mansiil metropolitan region.

Sana-Kin does not find any secret passages, but he does find a hidden weapon's stash under the stairs. The stash contains many weapons of different types, and several of them are missing, although its difficult to tell what types they were.

(Fu & Patrick)

Of the people who live in Mimosha's communal complex, only two of them, a painter, Pin Tun, and the landlady, Halle Cuttai, are home right now. The painter tells Fu that Mimosha seemed troubled by something recently and seem to be hiding something, and she seemed especially anxious night of her disappearance, but was not told anything by Mimosha when she asked out of courtesy.

The landlady corroborates the painter's story, but says that she doesn't pay enough attention to the tenants daily lives to notice whether Mimosha was any different when she disappeared.

None of them have seen Mimosha since, and report nothing out of the ordinary on the night of her disappearance. The landlady tells Fu that Mimosha seems to have at least exited the building on her own accord though, since her outdoor shoes were missing.

"Hmm, at least this location is closer than the last." Kobe-Juan copies down this detail along with the others in his small pocketbook. "All the evidence so far points towards the victims leaving in a planned and orderly fashion, though we are no closer to discovering the impetus behind their sudden exodus. But what is this you have found, Sana-Kin?" They give the weapons stash a closer examination.

It is a large wooden crate filled with weapons. There is one pistol, but the majority seem to be conventional weapons, both common and esoteric. The pistol seems to be missing its accompanying gunpowder.

Throwing knives, a saber, a hammer, a flail, some sort of fighting gauntlet, steel balls attached by wire, a crossbow, darts, a sling with a pouch of lead bullets and some pretty mechanically clever gadgets. The crate is packed to the brim on one side, but missing a notable chunk of something on the other, leading you to suspect that Jonis brought some of the contents with him to wherever he was going.

[Knowledge check: how long would it take to travel to the town of Brohui from here?]

Kobe-Juan looks at the pistol with distaste. "Ugh, how uncivilized. But Mr. Jorgi appears to have been some hidden grandmaster at arms as well as a skilled martial artist. A truly formidable warrior. We could use someone of his caliber in the Yedai Order."

He and Sana-Kin carefully return things to their original state, then go to interview Jonis' friend Smoki Bron.

"I thank you two for you time, do you know when the other residents are supposed to come back? Also is it ok if I look around Mimi's room for anything she might have left behind?"

[Brohui is 6 hours by carriage]

Sana-Kin: "Master, I'm not sure the council will allow someone of his age into the order. I'm sure you remember, I was but a mere child when I joined, and yet there was still that great debacle about it."

Kobe-Juan and Sana-Kin put everything back and head towards the docks.

(11:40 -> 12:10)

Its a busy time at the docks, or rather it seems to always be a busy time at the docks. People of all manner shout and scuffle, trying to make time and make money. There is a strong stench of seafood in the air, and among the rough looking men is sometimes the odd policeman, who greets the two as they pass through.

It's a little past noon when the duo make their way to the pier where Smoki works, the man of interest is currently lugging crates of abalone, but is able to make a bit of time when Kobe-Juan talks to the foreman about the circumstances.

"That kid who just went up and disappeared on me eh? I wouldn't be surprised if he ran off on his own accord, he was never one to follow the rules. I could tell that he wanted to be someplace else when he was here, but when he did put forth the effort he could do the work of two men. Well, I hope you do find him if he did go missing," says the foreman to Kobe-Juan, as he calls forth Smoki.

(Fu)

The landlady gives you permission to search Mimosha's room.

Fu walks through the shared living space where the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms are located, and locates Mimosha's room near the right. Among the six housing units, Mimosha's room is the second closest from the entrance, with only Din's room being located closer.

Fu opens the door and see's a small room comparable to Simpette's dorm room. There is a bed, a workbench, and a dresser. Fitting for a seamstress, there's sewing supplies everywhere, pieces of scrap cloth were she seemed to be practicing embroidery on. There's no reading or writing implements anywhere.

For a seamstress her clothes are lacking in quantity as well as being of considerably terrible quality in regards to the material. The embroided patterns is quite delicate, though, and make the clothing look a lot nicer than they are to wear.

In the corner Fu finds some half eaten mothballs.

Fu looks around the room to see if there is anything that might point to paces she's been or if she owed money to anyone. (perception check)

Kobe-Juan chuckles. "I jest, I jest. Twas merely wishful thinking, a pipe dream."

At the docks, they ask Smoki Bron about the religious festival at Brohui and where he thinks Jonis Jorgi might have gone.

There's nothing in writing anywhere to be found nor any purposefully left indication of where she was going.

Smoki: "Religious festival? Is that were Jonis went? Jeeze... Well he didn't tell me anything about it. Hmmm, now that you mention it, Jonis did tell me to avoid going to Ragul Street at night, but that's pretty much it.

Judging by the tone of his voice, he might have been doing something dangerous... I thought it would be rude to pry though."

Kobe-Juan nods. "Yes, we have reason to believe he was expecting a fight. Do you know what kind of weapons he owned?"
Reply
(asked for places she has been, but I'll assume I found nothing.) "Well anything you wanna look for before we leave?" She addresses Patrick as she still gives the room a once over.

"Nothing comes to mind. I'm a bit stumped on where else to look at this point. You have somewhere in mind?"
Reply
"I'm going to call it at this and head back to the office to look and see if there are any statements people may have given regarding the disappearance of all the victims."

Before leaving Fu tells the dorm residents that if they remember anything to report it to her at the 6th Constabulary then heads back to the constabulary to look for any information given on the disappearance of the victims, as well as look through any additional information on the victims that were not given in the reports.

"Uh, no sir, he's never showed me," replies Smoki, "although his body itself seemed to be a weapon, if you want to include that."

(Fu's group)

(10:50 -> 11:30)

Fu and Patrick return to the constabulary, file a report on what they discovered, and asks Lirus if there is any additional information on the victims that she could provide.

Lirus: "All the information that we already have, you've seen. Or rather, its difficult to discern from the mountains of documents in the archives what, in addition, could be remotely related to the victim's disappearances. Perhaps you could tell what type of information you need and I can have it found or requisitioned?"
Reply
"I see, I see." They take their leave. "Well, I suppose we've done our due diligence. I would rather avoid wasting time investigating a venue that my colleagues have already visited, though I suspect we may have already done so." Kobe-Juan returns to the constabulary to wait for the others.

"I'd like to get information on what was going on the week or two before the victims disappeared, specifically anything that might deviate from their normal routine. Also if there has been any reported sightings of any of the victims since they disappeared."

Simpette smiles and nods at Osein and the man with the amazing hat, waiting until her partner sits down at a table before turning to the man with the hat.

"You know, my partner wasn't joking about me doing 'whatever it is woman do at casinos.' If you need someone to hand out drinks or entertain some VIPs, I've had my fair share of experience at a variety of establishments. In fact, I'll do it for free, as I've been looking to get a sense of the local entertainment scene."
