"I'll move with the group," says "jason".

"Out of curiosity, what was your idea Tomoe?" Samad asks. "I don't think I quite caught it the first time."
[Majority unopposed to traveling east, will advance in 24 hours if no objections are raised]
Reply
"Use a skill I just got to have one of the guides give us explicit instructions on how to get there."
Reply
"Eastward it is then," says Jose.
Reply
"Hm, that sounds a bit unsavory. Well, something to consider if we meet anyone like that."
Behind him, the fort continues its collapse, the entrance becoming completely sealed by rubble.
"I guess that's our cue.  Let us be off!" Samad mounts his camel with practiced ease, and it dashes out through the empty archway at a run. "Whoa there, slow down!" The camel groans and peters down to a walk to allow the rest of you to catch up.

You leave the old crumbling ruins behind as you travel to the east. The ground beneath your feet becomes less sandy more solid, and you can see small shrublike plants scattered about. After about an hour's travel you spot a small flock of birds circling in the air. Below them on the ground are what look like two human bodies.
"An awful sight, but not too unusual in these lands," Samad remarks, "Shall we go check it out?"
Reply
At the sight of the bodies, Jamar stiffens up.
"W-why not t-too unusual?"
Reply
"These are harsh lands, which can claim the lives of those who are not prepared through heat, starvation, or thirst. Worry not, for I have prepared for all three of those."
Reply
"Might not be a good idea to check, could be a trap."
Reply
Jamar's body visibly relaxes as Jamar gives Tomoe a thumbs-up.
"Yes!"
Reply
"It seems that we are on the right track though, I'll go check it out," says Cory.

He carefully walks towards the two corpses, stabbing the ground in front of him with his spear every foot of the way.
Reply
Jamar reaches out towards Cory as he walks forwards, but doesn't bother to really try and stop him.
Reply
Jose sees this as a race and sprints towards the corpses.
Reply
Jamar drops down onto all fours, a position emanating despair.
Reply
Tomoe simply pats Jamar on the head sadly as she watches two race towards what is most likely a trap.
Reply
"Jason" makes his way slowly but surely towards the bodies, finding a lot of sand and dirt accumulating on the end of his spear.
Jose quickly overtakes him with his sprinting, but as he nears the site, one of the birds takes notice of him.
Squawking loudly, it swoops down at Jose with claws outstretched!

"Jose, watch out!" Samad calls to no avail. Jose is blindsided by the creature, its talons scoring a few bloody cuts on the side of his head. The other two squawk in kind and turn to face Jose and the group. "Oh dear, I think we've upset them."
[anyone can act]
Reply
Tomoe draws her pistol and fires a round off into the air to see if the noise will scare them off.
Reply
Cory readies is weapon and attacks any bird that gets too close.
Reply
"Hey Samad, since I'm a 'sword-er', would you mind swapping your sword with my dagger? If not, I think my the daggers are also influenced by my new anime skills."

While speaking, Jamar's left hand unsheathe's the dagger while Jamar's right hand unpockets papa-G's smartoh-phoano and Jamar begins indexing the seemingly hostile creatures.
Reply
Tomoe's gunshot startles the birds. The one that attacked Jose rejoins its fellows. They continue to squawk but keep their distance, neither attacking nor retreating.
"I'm not sure what you mean by 'anime skills' but sure, have at it," Samad hands Jamar his sword. Jamar awkwardly scans the avians with the Singularity while swapping weapons with the other hand. A strangely good feeling ripples through Jamar's body upon gripping the hilt, as if it is just now made complete.
Reply
"UUUOOOOOHHHHHHHHH I can feel the ANIME rushing through my veins!!! Jose, Jason, I'm coooommmmiiiiinnnnnggggggg!"
After completing the indexing, Jamar cautiously advances towards Jose and Cory.
Reply
Seeing they are startled Tomoe tries to use her skill [Gods Resolution] on Jamar. "Destroy our enemies."
Reply
Somehow, Tomoe's voice sounds red and is accompanied by what could be described as audible sharpness. Jamar feels a strong compulsion to rush forward and attack the birds.

[Jamar can either resist or obey the command]

"ANYTHING FOR TOMOE-ONEESAMA!!!111"
Jamar goes from a cautious approach to a full-fledged sprint towards one of the avian creatures leading up to a spinning jump-slash similar to that one anime about fighting big boiz.
Reply
Jose uses his enhanced agility and dagger in an attempt to slash at birds within slashing distance. If there are none, then he looks for things on the ground to throw at the birds.
Reply
Jamar dashes forward, arms flung back in an aerodynamic running pose. After overtaking even Jose, Jamar flexes extraordinarily empowered legs to blast off into the air, almost reaching the birds.

With over two full spins worth of built up force behind it Jamar's backhand slash messily bisects one of the birds, showering the region with drops of blood and feathers. The survivors grow more frantic. Jose estimates that even with his enhanced agility he has only a slim chance of getting within slashing distance, so he picks up a rock off the ground and throws it at one of the remaining birds.

Reply
The rock clips one of the bird's wings, nearly bringing it down as its flight pattern grows more ragged and slow.
Jamar flips around again while falling to make a stylish three point landing, the ground cracking a bit under the impact. The two halves of the bird plop down on either side.

Without a moment's pause, the empowered Sword-Ur gets up and makes another audacious leap, delivering the same demise upon the wounded bird before hitting the ground.

The last bird screeches in panic and starts to fly away. Jamar starts running after it. [Anyone else can act]
Reply
Jose gouges out a chunk of the bisected bird and takes a taste.
Reply
"Huh, well that was useful."
Reply
"HEEEEEYYYYYYY GET BACK HERE!!!!!! TOMOE-ONEESAMA NEEDS YOUR HEAD ON A PIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111"

Jamar makes another jumping strike at the last bird.

It's a near miss, the bird narrowly evading. "Uh, Jamar, it's already fleeing, why are you still chasing it?" Samad wonders.

With one last leap Jamar strikes down the last bird with unabated ferocity. [Command fulfilled]
A few moments afterward, Jamar is suddenly hit by all the accumulated pain from the multiple jumps and earth shattering landings at once, concentrated mostly in the knees, and falls prone from exhaustion. [Jamar is temporarily crippled]

"....onee...sama..."

"Guess I have to be careful with the his skill, could cause injures depending on the command." Tomoe goes over to Jamar, helps him up and takes him to one of the camels."
Reply
upon being picked up by Tomoe, Jamar subconsciously forms a blissful smile and giggles.
"ehhehehehe"
Reply
It takes a little while for Tomoe to reach Jamar as the whole bird chase covered quite some distance.
Meanwhile, Jose cuts out a piece of raw bird and starts chowing down. It tastes like chicken...not much, considering it's raw and slick with blood. The texture is rather tough and chewy though.

"Was cutting them down like that really necessary?" Samad says. "I would have suggested just throwing rocks to scare them off, like Jose did."
"Hey, there's no kill like overkill," Vincent quips in response. "Although, Jose probably isn't the best role model..."
Reply
Putting Jamar on one of the camels, she walks back to the bodies and checks to see if they are still alive, if not she rummages through thier bodies for any items on them that can identify them.
Reply
As Tomoe approaches she sees that the bodies are definitely deceased, their shriveled up skin littered with stray sand. "Looks like they died of dehydration," Samad surmises. "The question is, why were they out here?"
One of them is wearing a faded blue jacket while the other is in a robe. As for items she finds a hiking staff in serviceable condition and a knapsack containing a few rolls of parchment and a small glass vial filled halfway with a green liquid.
Reply
Tomoe uses true name discernment to see if she could learn the names of the dead people.
Reply
Tomoe's eyes light up as she scans the bodies, but no names appear.
Reply
"Well so much for that idea." She turns her head to the others in the group. "Should we take the bodies back to town to be taken care of or leave them out?"
Reply
"It would be too impractical to carry them all the way back, but the least we can do is give them a customary burial." Samad takes out a shovel and starts digging.
Reply
Tomoe also grabs a shovel and digs graves as well.
Reply
Jose graves grabs a shovel and starts digging too.
Reply
With the help of Tomoe and Jose the graves are dug in short order. "Hm, from my best guess they seem to be city folk, so I'll use their form."Samad places the bodies in with the heads pointed northeast. "Kyokli om tesh," he utters while bowing, and fills the sand back in to form the burial mounds.

Samad brushes off his hands. "Well, that's the best we can do, as I don't have the means to make a proper marker. Shall we continue, or is there something else we need to address? Er, I notice Jamar has sustained some injuries..."
Reply
"I think he'll be alright. just needs to rest a bit. I say we head out."
Reply
"If you say so. Hiyah!" Samad kickstarts his camel, and the desert trek resumes. Tomoe takes care not to disturb the resting Jamar draped over her camel. Jose finishes eating that piece of raw bird. Jason starts training to git gud at "Mine Sweeper" and Vincent resumes his web novel.

After a while, a long train of camels appears in the distance, laden with cargo and riders. "Ah, a caravan. Shall we hail them and trade words?"
