Corenat RovarnusForced RPG 2: Project Gsekai
Jose hits the <No> button on the dot, and the prompt goes away. Tomoe feels the incumbent presence suddenly solidify and slam into the Rider presence much harder than it did before, pushing it all the way out of her mind. As it leaves a small wave of force blasts out from the pedestal, knocking Tomoe over and away from it. More cracks form in the statue.

"Lets try to find that cylinder thing now, that seems to be the only thing that's missing," says Cory to the gang after adjusting to his new skills.
Reply
"M-missing? Missing from what?" Samad asks, flabbergasted. "All I know is that Jamar and Tomoe were nearly consumed for trying to meddle with this sorcery. What do you think 'completing' it will accomplish?"
Reply
Tomoe sits up. "Well that could have gone better." Tomorrow starts typing up a report on her phone on what she experienced just now and sends it in as part of her file on the statues.
Reply
Seeing that things have calmed down, Jamar continues indexing the translation journal.
Reply
Cory goes and looks for the cylinder object.
Reply
Sitting up tomoe gets off the floor and begins looking around the room for any equipment.
Reply
Cory can't seem to find anything like the cylinder he saw in the mural, although he does find fragments that look like they were part of one.
Tomoe continues to progress towards her quota with a written report while Jamar indexes the translation journal. She doesn't find anything else in the room that could really be called equipment.
Meanwhile, Vincent approaches the Shoot-Ur statue. "Hm, this woman looks like she's doing stretches. Maybe if I absorb her power I'll become an Aztec Fitness God." He nicks his hand with the axe he conveniently obtained from the arsenal while no one was looking, and places his palm on the pedestal.
A magic circle appears beneath him, and the orbs of light spin around and diffuse into him.

The Shoot-Ur statue crumbles.
"Hm, I guess I'm an 'archer' now? Let's see...I've got 'Ranged Proficiency', and 'Magic Resistance'." Vincent explains to Samad about how the statue has upgraded his physical capabilities and given him some new skills.

"Ahh, I see," Samad says, "Thanks Vincent, you're a lot better at communication than your friends. I guess it wouldn't hurt if I got a 'class' as well. What should it be?"
Reply
Jose attempts to communicate with the presence in his mind.
Reply
"I'd go with the bearded one with a staff, seems like it will be a magic user if going off of looks."
Reply
Jose contacts the presence in his mind, and the Status app opens up on his phone.

"You should pick the guy on the wheel thingy," says Cory, "it seems that he's got a sweet ride."
Reply
Samad looks at it. "Are you sure? It looks somewhat damaged after Jamar and Tomorrow touched it. And I doubt it will summon a chariot out of nowhere, unless one of you got something similar."
Reply
Jamar continues indexing, having no input on the discussion.
Reply
"You won't get it anytime soon. I didn't get anything that's on my statue so I doubt you'll get a chariot soon."
Reply
"Yeah, well no guarantees of magic from the other one either. Hmm..."
Reply
"Well it's up to you, just rember you can change it apparently if you don't like your choice."

Tomoe starts to go through her status app to see what advantages her class has compares to others.
Reply
"If you are frequently on the move, I'd say the 'Rider' statue is your best bet," Jose says. "This 'Spell-Ur' fellow needs a staff to walk!"
Reply
"It must be a role for lame people, like maybe soldiers who took an unfortunate arrow to the knee," says Cory.

"I'm getting very mixed sentiments from you guys.... oh well, the 'wheel thingy'  it is." Samad makes a small incision in his hand with his sword and goes to palm the Rider pedestal.

"Oh....oh my." The arcane circle and orbs appear around Samad, and he too is infused with the same energies as the five before him. The statue crumbles almost immediately, but it seems to have achieved its purpose. As the light fades Samad looks at his hands in wonder. "Hmm. My body feels different, somehow... eh???" He makes a startled jump, waving his hands around in startled bewilderment. "W-who said that? Was it one of you?" Upon seeing no reaction from anyone, he realizes nobody else heard anything. "Uh...You keep asking me that, what does that mean? ...Yes? Whoa!!" Samad grows quiet, thinking to himself.

She looks through her phone for a description of her class and what those unique features her class has, taking notes all the while to submit for review later.

You hear the faint sound of stone cracking beneath you.
Reply
Hearing the cracking she slowly moves towards the door, going slowly enough not to break the ground.
Reply
Jose uses his newfound agility to move towards the door as well, hoping to escape from whatever this cracking is.

Being all the way in the corner of the room, Jamar packs up the translation journal and moves under the table, curling up in a fetal position.
The rapid finger-ground writing of various 'why's resumes.

Cory stabs his spear through the wall and hangs on to it.
Reply
Following his instinct for self preservation, Vincent also makes his way over to the stairs along with Tomoe and Jose. It's not a moment too soon as the cracking intensifies and a large section of floor gives way in the center of the room. Pedestals, rubble, and perhaps people fall through with it.

With enhanced strength Cory digs his spear several inches into the nearest wall, preventing him from falling into the roughly 15-20 foot gap that almost neatly splits the room in half. Samad and Jamar are now stranded on the far side with Cory hanging roughly in the middle over the gap.
Reply
"You guys alright over there?" Tomoe looks over the pit to see if there is a bottom.
Reply
Cory peers down into the pit from his vantage point.
Reply
"For the moment, I suppose," Samad replies.
The bottom of the pit ends slightly below the first floor some 10-15 feet down from where the second floor used to be.

Jamar pauses the ground-fingering for a moment to look up at Tomoe and gives an excessively shaky thumbs up.
Jamar's other hand just as shakily retrieves Jamar's phone so that Jamar might look at something in an attempt to appear cool and unphased.
(gonna use this segway to look at my stat page, lol)

"If everyone is ok let's head down and regroup, there may be more monsters from earlier around." Saying that she heads downstairs to try and find a way to meet up with the others.

Still shaking, Jamar turns to Samad.
"sooooooooooooooooooooo, u-uh. got any r-rope?"
Reply
"Yeah, I've got rope! ....but I left it with the camels." Samad looks down dejectedly. Tomoe goes downstairs to find that the doorway to the Dorms is now blocked by rubble.
Reply
"Hey, anyone, can you throw me a spear? Preferably not directly at me, but somewhere I can reach, I need to be able to climb down into the pit" says Cory.
Reply
"No spears over here," Samad reports as Jamar tries to pass fearful shaking off as some kind of cool rave thrashing while still under the desk, somehow not bumping against the top of it. "I think Tomoe had one," Vincent recalls. Cory feels like the spear can't support his weight for very long.
Reply
Coming back up she looks over the pit again to see if there is any softish place she could land on the floor below.
Reply
Cory adjusts his grip to be closer to the tip, and then pulls out the spear from the wall. He attempts to fall approximately 5 feet before stabbing his spear into the wall again to break his fall, repeating until he hits the ground.
Reply
"Y-yo... Jason... C-c-c-could you get Samad's-s-s rope and toss i-it up here when you get-t-t down... please?"
Reply
"Uh...Jamar, was it? It looks like Jason is in a bit of trouble, so it'll probably be faster if I go fetch the rope." Vincent heads downstairs, eager to make himself useful.
The man of the hour, "Jason" swings and pivots to plant his feet against the wall for leverage as he yanks the spear out with that same strength he used to put it there. The soles of his shoes skid across the stone as they fail to find purchase. With incredible speed he tries to stab it back in while falling.

In his haste he strikes at an off-angle so the spear does not lodge properly. He falls another five feet before his next stab.

This time "Jason" executes his stab perfectly, completely arresting his momentum only a few feet before ground level. He pulls his spear out and hops down, completing his descent without injury besides sore arms.

Tomoe sees that while the ground is littered with rocky rubble, there are about three small clearings of smooth floor. While they aren't soft they don't have any potentially sharp edges either. Jason is standing in one of them.

Cory tries to make his way outside to find the rope.

Cory sees the other side of the Dorms doorway, blocked in by a few large pieces of floor.

Feeling the inevitability of eventual death and the increased chance of mortality given the current circumstances, Jamar takes out the handcrafted cosplay KnB shortswords and indexes them in an attempt to leave some sort of legacy. Something, anything to say that Jamar had once lived.
Reply
"I have an idea, we all have increased abilities because of those statues right? Maybe they will allow us to take more of a beating and allow us to get down there mostly unharmed." Climbing down from the ledge swings her legs like a gymnast and aims her jump towards one of the empty spaces.

Jamar starts to craft a heartfelt documentary about the life and times of two foam toy weapons:
The twin swords, Kanshou of black (with red hexagon pattern) and Bakuya the white. They began life as a single block of sturdy construction foam, carved and sculpted with love and care to let their true beauty shine forth. Jamar recalls hours stretching into days spent toiling away in the workshop making sure all the colors in the paint job were just right. The upcoming anime convention was to be their debut appearance to the cosplay consuming public, but tragically life took a different turn and they were instead exposed only to the harsh sun and blistering sands of another world. Will these noble props ever see the light of a con? The future seems to grow dimmer by the minute.
[While gripping the shortswords, some sword fighting techniques come unbidden to Jamar's mind.]

Samad makes a confused expression at this display of weebery. "What are you doing Jamar? I don't think playing with swords will help our current situation."
